Sindy Garzón Monsalve, internationally known as Xindirela, is a Colombian harpist and performing artist whose career beautifully blends traditional Latin American heritage with global elegance and versatility. With a foundation rooted in the sounds of the llanera harp, Xindirela has evolved into one of the most internationally recognized Latin harpists of her generation.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Sindy began her musical training at the age of 7 at the prestigious Academia Llano y Joropo, and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the National Pedagógica University of Colombia. A lifelong artist, she also spent over a decade with the Colombian Theatre Corporation, performing as both musician and actress in the acclaimed production Guadalupe: Años sin Cuenta.

She was the director and harpist of the renowned all-female ensemble Cinco Damas, a cultural force in Colombian folk music. She also performed with the Arpas de Colombia ensemble and appeared at major international harp festivals in countries such as Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, and Argentina—contributing to the global visibility of Latin harp traditions.

Since 2017, Xindirela has brought her music to the global stage, performing in prestigious venues and elite events across India, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. She has appeared at iconic locations such as Palazzo Versace, Rixos Premium Saadiyat, Etihad Museum, and Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort, delivering enchanting performances for weddings, luxury hotel residencies, Ramadan celebrations, and high-profile corporate launches.

 

Notable highlights include:

  • Pre-launch of Dubai Expo 2020 at Etihad Museum

  • Rolls-Royce showroom reopening (2024)

  • Mont Blanc and Osugar Abayas fashion launches

  • Malabar Gold & Diamonds branch opening, attended by Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor

 

Her artistry has been featured by DXB Today, Arabian Insider, and other UAE media outlets, celebrating her as a symbol of "ethereal musical elegance."

Throughout her journey, Xindirela has received awards and recognition for her contributions to music, including honors at the Latin Music Awards (for Sentimiento Latino), and featured performances at Torneo Internacional del Joropoand Feria de las Flores in Colombia.

Her discography includes recordings with Estudiantina Llano y Joropo, Alma Llanera Show, and other ensembles, further enriching the musical archive of llanera and Latin folk music.

​

Today, Xindirela continues to elevate her culture through music, using the harp as her voice to unite tradition with sophistication. Whether in an intimate venue or on an international stage, she brings poetic grace, authenticity, and timeless beauty to every performance.
